Comscore released list of ‘Top 50 web destinations in US‘. For the first time in history Google ranked number one in the ‘Top web destination’ list in terms of monthly unique visitors.

Google reaching monthly 141 million users in US while Yahoo is now at second place with 140.6 million visitors followed by Microsoft sites and AOL having 121.2 and 111.2 million unique visitors respectively for the month of April 2008.

This is the first time Google beating Yahoo in terms of Unique visitors.

Rapid Youtube growth is said to be the main reason for Google’s first position in top web properties. In terms of monthly page views Google is still way behind than Yahoo. No wonder in next year’s ‘Top web properties’ report Google will be on top for unique visitors as well as number of page views!
