If you are not monetizing your blog feed with any advertising then you have a great option coming soon. Yes as announced by Google when Google acquired feedburner, they are now introducing Adsense ads for feedburner feeds. This feature is currently in beta testing phase available for selective publishers only. But will be available for all publishers soon.

You might have spotted these Google Adsense ads in some feedburner feeds. The ads will look like image maps in 468×30 rectangle format. See some of the screenshots spotted on some feeds:

These feed ads are contextual ads, means ads will be related to your content and will be served after each article in your feed.

What about publishers already in Feedburner ad network?
The publishers already running the directly sold CPM ads from feedburner ad network still can run these Adsense ads in feeds. They also have option to show contextual ads in their feeds. Means these publishers can take advantage of both the premium CPM and Adsense ads.

Publisher not running any ads in feeds can manage Adsense for feed ads directly from the Adsense setup tab. You can create and manage feed ads, also ad review center can be used to allow or block the Adsense ads in feeds. You can control the frequency of ads also.

Running Adsense ads in feed will be a simple procedure. Create Adsense channels, allow placement targeting for these channels so that advertisers can bid on these ad slots. Finally place the Adsense code provided by Google in your XML feed and you are done!

So this is definitely a good option for Adsense publishers for monetizing their feeds and also another revenue source.
