The customer satisfaction survey released by ACSI (American Customer Satisfaction Index) shows drop in Google’s ranking on customer satisfaction by 4%. Yahoo! topped the list with score of 79 up 4% from last year.
Here are the scores of other giants:
Yahoo! 79
Google 78
Ask 75
MSN 75
AOL 67
Google falls by 4% from a year ago to a score of 78, but it is still the most popular search engine according to ACSI survey. Some are saying Google’s outdated home page may be the reason, but I still love the Google’s home page. Ask.com’s score increased more than any other search engine. It is up by 6% to a score of 75, still well behind Google. AOL suffers the largest plunge in customer satisfaction this quarter, down 10% to the lowest score in the industry (67).
ACSI also released customer satisfaction of Personal computers industry. Apple is facing the same problem like Google, falling its index by 5% from last year. But still Apple is on top in Personal computers with score of 79.
“Apple has experienced unprecedented growth in recent years,” said Prof. Fornell. “As Toyota can attest, it’s not easy to manage quality and customer satisfaction when a company quickly has to increase production or provide service to a larger number of customers.”
Dell also dropping on customer satisfaction from last year. This year Dell facing fall of 5% and ranked at the bottom of Personal computer ranking.
