The best way to get decent free traffic to your blog is participating in different web awards. This year weblog awards nominations are open and you can cast your votes in different categories.

The weblog awards started in 2001 is a non-profit project to award best blogs. The winners are chosen by public votes. Though the prize amount is not big still huge traffic and fame are some hidden benefits.

The blogs exist in period 2007 are eligible for nomination in different categories. There are certain rules like:

• One can nominate only 3 blogs in each category
• While nomination you need to provide URL and your email address for vote verification.
• You must vote for at least 3 different blogs from any categories.
