ViewSonic has unveiled the ViewPad 7X, 7 inch Android tablet along with its new dual-booting 10-inch slate, the ViewPad 10Pro. These models are expected to hit the market soon and have been seen first hand at Computex 2011.
ViewPad 7x is packed with NVIDIA’a Tegra 2 processor with HDMI, HSP+ running Android 3.0 Honeycomb while the ViewPad 10Pro is packed with 1.5GHz Intel Oak Trail Z670 processor running either Android 2.2 or Windows 7 Pro.
There is a twin camera in ViewPad 7x, the rear one comes with LED flash with 10-point multitouch display, HSPA+, HDMI-out and DLNA support for enhanced multimedia experience. This 7 inch display tablet has a resolution of 1024*600 pixels and weighs only 380 gms which is same as the Galaxy Tab. This is the first 7 inch Honeycomb tablet also has a MicroUSB port for connection and there are touch sensitive buttons, though not required.
ViewSonic ViewPad 10Pro, successor of ViewPad 10 is the first tablet running on Oak Trail processor and Intel GMA 600 integrated graphics can be switched between Windows 7 or Android without rebooting. There is 32 GB internal storage and a 3500 mAh battery. One can easily run Android applications due to Blue Stacks virtualization software. There is 3G, WIFI, Bluetooth, MicroUSB port along with capacitive touchscreen and 1080p video playback. The battery can deliver up to 6 hours runtime.
According to Alan Chang, ViewSonic Managing Director of Europe and Asia-Pacific said in a press release, “We have continued to invest in our strategic partnerships with Microsoft and Google, at Computex you will see that ViewSonic is not content with standing still”
ViewSonic has yet to reveal the pricing details and availability of the ViewPad 7x and ViewPad 10Pro.
The two tablets are all over the news and surely sound promising. Lets see how these two tablets will create waves and its impact on the users.
