According to comscore report online video market is expanding tremendously with 13 percent gain in March 2008 compared to February 2008. No wonder Google is dominating this video market with 38 percent share of total videos viewed online.

During March 2008 US users viewed around 11.5 billion videos, out of which around 4.3 billion videos viewed on Google sites only.  Youtube accounted for 98 percent of these videos.

  4. The average online video duration was 2.8 minutes.
  5. The average online video viewer watched 235 minutes of video.

It’s been said that Google is concentrating more on getting some revenue from Youtube. Till now company didn’t think much about the profits from the video giant Youtube, but now it’s the perfect time for Google to start making some good profit from Youtube.
